Roger Burman owns LAKESIDE RODS AND RIDES in Rockwell City, Iowa . Roger has built some of the finest rods and customs from this small shop in rural Iowa since 1989. He is a master car builder of award winning street rods and custom motorcycles. The incredible work his shop produces has resulted in numerous awards and national attention.
The hot rods Roger Burman builds out of his shop, are well known, not only to rodders in the Midwest, but to those who, both nationaly and internationaly, pay attention to award-winning, high caliber rods and custom pro-built cars. His cars and motorcycles have won so many awards that Burman stopped counting years ago. As a professional builder, Roger takes on high-end projects for enthusiasts who appreciate and are willing to pay to have a pro turn their dreams into reality. It typically takes about six months to build a car, he said, but a really radical design can take up to 18 months.

As a shop they’ve brought home the Goodguys “America’s Most Beautiful Street Rod” title as well as the "STREET ROD D’ELEGANCE" award for two consecutive year’s as well as the Goodguys "Custom Rod of the Year".
'RADSTER - 1935 FORD 2006 RIDLER AWARD WINNER'
The Radster won four major national award in 18 months, including: being named Goodguys Texaco/Havoline America’s Most Beautiful Street Rod for 2007 at the Goodguys 21st West Coast Nationals in Pleasanton, the coveted Ridler award at the DETROIT AUTORAMA 2006, and then followed with the title of "AMERICA'S MOST BEAUTIFUL ROADSTER" at the GRAND NATIONAL ROADSTER SHOW in Pomona, CA. It became only the second car in hot rod history to capture all four awards in succession.
